Cheri successfully completed her one week indoctrination to finance for senior managers at the London School of Business. She learned a tremendous amount and met lots of nice people from all over the world. It was a lot of work, but well worth the effort!!

September 13, 2009 - Windosr Castle
John's parents - Millie and John Warren - arrived this week. We had an opportunity to visit Windsor castle on Sunday. What a place! It's definitely a 'highly recommended' on the Warren tour guide list. The castle is immense and loaded with interesting artifacts. you could literally spend days in there and not see everything. Once you pay once, your ticket is good for a whole year - so long as you get it stamped. How cool!!
Enjoy!

September 12, 2009 - Bath & Stonehenge
Hi Everyone!
Yesterday we finally made it to Bath and Stonehenge.
John planned an extra special day to welcome his parents to England and in their honor rented car and drove into London to pick us all up! We were really pleased that Jodi and Holly got to spend their last day on this adventure!
It was a stunningly gorgeous with blue sky and lots of sunshine! We found a luscious lunch spot - Bass Ales. After a bite to eat we rolled around the city and ended up at the Roman Baths . They were amazing and we definitely decided that we would like to go back there one day.
After a full day in Bath we headed for Stonehenge in hopes of catching the sunset. John drove us over hill and dale through the windy country roads that were often one lane wide for two lane traffic! There were times when we thought we should have the headlights on because the hedges/trees were so thick around us!
Yep - Stonehenge is a pile of rocks in a field. I know many of you told us that! Glad we got there by car and could leave when we wanted to!
We got really nice light and then headed back to London for a goodbye Mexican feast for Jodi & Holly. We'll miss them!
Enjoy!

The second day we awoke to serious rain. We visited this terrible castle and we all agreed that it was the worst tourist attraction we had ever seen! Now we know what the worst looks like! From there we headed for Dublin and stopped along the way for lunch - a traditional Irish Sunday lunch - yummy!
As we were pulling into Ireland the sun cracked out. We only had a few hours there but oh were they fun! John and I will go back. Jodi & Holly stayed two extra days!!
We saw our first game of hurling and found out the stadium was in Dublin as John and I headed for the airport in a crowd of 85,000 people!! We almost missed the flight, but luckily made it!
Enjoy!
September 5, 2009 - Ireland
Another fine adventure was had - this time in Ireland! Jodi, Cheri's sister, and her friend Holly came to visit in the beginning of September. On the Friday we jumped on a plane and headed for Shannon, Ireland. An hour and a half later we were at the pub having our first properly pulled pint of Guiness. No question - it's better there!!
The next morning we hopped in our rental car and headed for Dingle and a boat ride. It didn't rain that day, which is saying something in Ireland! We saw lots of green and had a blast on the boat ride.
Later that day we drove up to Cliffs of Moher and had a little picnic with wine and goat's cheese!
Enjoy!

August 30, 2009 - The Spanish Coast
We awoke to another fine day! Christina elected to sleep in after a big night out, so Cheri, Betty and John hopped in the car for a day of exploring. We headed off down the coast and went to the beach at Callafall. Betty and Cheri found these really cool paddle boats with slides and decided that was the thing for them! John took one look at boats and thought, "right - they want me for propulsion - think I'll sit this one out!" He found a nice vendor who sold him an umbrella and a louge chair where he could keep one eye on us and one eye on the beautiful 'sights' walking by!!
After an hour of paddling up and down the windy ocean Betty and Cheri decided they had earned an ice cream cone! So we found a place right across from the tourist office and got some direction and a great cone! From there we headed to Altafulla to see a beautiful horseshoe shaped beach. We found the town sqaure and were the only Americans for miles - just what we wanted!! We ate lunch where no one spoke English and it was yummy and the people were great!
From there we headed into the mountains to see a monastery and the villages. Wine production is in full swing and we saw lots of ripe grapes!
That night we ate the in the Marina with Christina and enjoyed life!
Enjoy!
