August 29, 2009 - Barcelona AM

That morning we walked down Las Ramblas, one of the most famous streets in Barcelona just to see what it was all about! We watched all of our things very closely as this area is pick pocket heaven! The tree lined street was packed with tourists, performers and locals who were out enjoying the day!

August 8, 2009 - A Walk in the Park - Richmond

Hi

Everyone!

We finally had a day of summer! It was August 8th and it was a perfect summer day - 80 degrees and sunny with very little wind. It felt as if the whole world was out enjoying the day. After careful consideration of all the options we elected to go for a 6 hour walk in Richmond Park.

Britain is known for it's butterflies and we decided to see if we could find some. The flowers are ever changing in the park and we shot them too! Isabella plantation was a alive with a new set of flowers, butterflies and dragonflies. On the way to Isabella we also saw a green wood pecker, rabbits, jays and other birds. We've updated the website at http://www.cherylawarren.com/richm/index.html if you want to see some more of the images.

August 7, 2009 - An evening in Hyde Park

Hi Everyone-

Another busy week for both John & Cheri with gray days for most of it. Friday evening brought the first bit of sun we had seen in a long while so we grabbed a quick curry and headed over the Hyde Park. The light was lovely. And, of course, the birds are always active that time of night and we enjoyed watching them. Once the light left us, we strolled around the Serpentine and watched the people!

All the best-

July 11, 2009 - Back in London

We arrived safely back in London this morning. John was very lucky and was upgraded to business class on the way back. So for a change he got a good five hours sleep too! Now he knows why Cheri complains when the flights are short!

The sun is playing hide and seek today and it sure is nice to see it!
We miss all of you already!

July 5, 2009 - THE SUN!

We finally saw a day of sun on July 5th and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on the lake with the Ida's. Arlene came up on the first time without so much as wobble! She skied as if she had been skiing all summer! Cheri came up in the same manner, but had a new foot piece on that wasn't adjusted quite right...so the skiing was OK, but not the best. Never-the-less fun! John also popped up like a cork and dropped the second ski so quickly that we almost missed the fact he came up on two! Thanks to Lance for driving the boat!

A dinner of cheeseburgers cooked to perfection along with macaroni and cheese and we were off to Burnt Hills to prepare for another work week!

Enjoy!

July 3, 2009 - Camp and Friends

We had a great time at camp with our friends from Killington - Ken and MJ Lee. Lance cooked up a storm and we had Michigan's for lunch and spaghetti and meatballs for dinner!

Lots of good conversation, laughter and fun times! We are thankful to have had the time together!

June 28, 2009 - Rexford, NY - A Family Party

On the 28th, Cheri's Mom hosted a family get together where we got to meet the newest member of the clan, Arden Adam Belden. Our new little cousin was born on June 11th weighing in at a hefty 10 pounds at 22 inches long!! He was a real charmer...sleeping and eating the whole time he was there. Jane was having lots of fun with the kids
His brother Aiden was enjoying the party and getting the adults to do his bidding! Little Cooper had grown like a weed and was full of smiles for all.

We got to meet Jodi's new boyfriend Rob. Glad to meet such a nice young man!
A good time was had by all where we ate too much!

Enjoy!

June 27, 2009 - Riverside Park, NYC

After flying into JFK from London the night before, we had a fabulous morning with our friend Sharon. We met at her place on 75th Street and started walking. The first stop was Riverside Park where hawks had been born 7 weeks previously. They had fledged the nest but the two juveniles and their parents were still close at hand. Here are a few of the best shots!

After hanging out with Sharon we headed into mid-town to see Shrek the Musical. We both would HIGHLY recommend it to all! It had most of our favorite lines from the movie, but also had new inventive twists and great dancing and scenery! Well worth the money!

From there we headed North towards home and slept like babies!

Enjoy!
