We
slept until we woke up and had the free hot breakfast and got on the road to
Calgary. This was a travel day. Cleared the US Canadian border without issue
and got to Lethbridge in time to eat and provision. Tony Roma's for lunch where there are
something for everyone. Walmart and Safeway
did the trick for provisions. We planned
our meals for the next four nights at our condo in Canmore, got the cooler, the
beer, wine and margaritas and were on our way.
John
provisioned his cell phone at Wal-mart.
He bought a SIM card, got it installed, and realized he could only
communicate with Dottie!! Dottie had
scored!! Sprint Open world plan which
allowed her to be in full communications throughout Canada...not so much in
Montana.
We
drove through no-man’s land for miles and miles. Houses were at least a 1/2 mile apart. What do people do there??
We
checked into the International Hotel, which John got us the most amazing suites
on the 24th floor for $127 per night!!!
All the other rooms nearby were $500/night!! As we were parking we saw a local outdoor
festival and decided after we had a beer and a glass of wine to check it
out. It turned out to be an outdoor
Chinese and an indoor Mexican festival.
Street food for dinner!!
Yummy!
