There is really is something about celebrating the fourth of July in America! I’m not sure how many Americans feel it deeply, but living aboard makes what we have even more poignant. I think living in the heart of the British Empire and seeing the commonwealth countries and their tight linkage to Mother England just makes me even more thankful we had the Boston Tea party and gained our independence. I am a patriot. Our in-born sense of freedom; sense that we can do anything; the real lack of the class system is part of what makes the United States of America the super power it is. You don’t see those attitudes everywhere!
